Basketball Hoop Installation Guidelines
To help your installation go smoothly and safely, please review these important details:

A decision-maker must be present for the full installation to confirm the hoop’s placement and orientation.
We work with OUPS (Ohio Utilities Protection Service) to mark public utility lines for free.
For everyone’s safety, we will not dig within 3 feet of any marked utility lines. Damaging electric (red) or gas (yellow) lines can be dangerous. Cable and internet lines (orange) are also fragile.
Private lines like sprinkler systems, dog fences, or landscape lighting will not be marked by OUPS—please inform our crew if any are present.
We are not responsible for damage to any underground utilities or irrigation systems.
Let us know how much backboard overhang you prefer:
More overhang = better playability for layups and side shots.
Less overhang = less chance of driveway traffic damage.
Please direct the crew to:
A spot to dump dirt or rocks
A spigot for water to fill buckets
An outdoor outlet if a jackhammer is needed
Do not disturb the concrete for at least 48 hours after installation.
For flat yards, we dig an 18″ x 18″ anchor hole. For sloped yards, we use a cardboard form at no extra cost.
Avoid watering new sod or running irrigation 48 hours before installation. Let us know about any recent landscaping or poor yard conditions.
We may reschedule installation if weather or yard conditions are not suitable.
Our crew does not remove trees or shrubs to clear the area.
