International technology brand SOFTSWISS, which delivers certified software solutions for managing gambling operations, has received a casino license in Serbia. The document was issued by the Gambling Administration (GCA) of the Ministry of Finance and Economy to organise and provide specialised services using electronic communications.
This is SOFTSWISS' third major licence this year. Previously, the brand officially entered the Nigerian and Greek markets. The Serbian license entitles the company to operate in the country for the next 10 years. The software platform has been certified by a competent state laboratory as a prerequisite for the licence. Furthermore, SOFTSWISS is the first company in Serbia approved to operate exclusively on the Internet.
The development team is planning to announce soon the first joint brand on the Serbian market, organized with an as yet unnamed partner company. The project, which is still under development, will integrate local payment methods as well as a monitoring and information exchange system.
Ivan Montik, founder of SOFTSWISS, commented on the milestone: "Entering the Serbian market is another important step towards strengthening and expanding SOFTSWISS in Europe. We were the first to be licensed as an online-only operator. This is valuable because we have not grown out of the classic land-based casino model."
He added: "With more than 10 years of experience in playtech provider online entertainment, a strong team, energy, drive and innovation in our DNA, I can say that SOFTSWISS will provide the best products for operators and players in this market. Considering that Serbia, its history and national mentality have always been close to Belarusians, we are confident in our success.
